The only additional fee required is a one-off community charge upon moving in to ensure that your apartment comes freshly decorated.  

We’re confident you will love life at our Somerset retirement village, but we understand that circumstances can change. It’s for this reason we offer a flexible notice agreement with no additional exit fees.

We are a proud, vibrant retirement community with a range of beautiful apartments to rent, some with their own balconies and patios, and all benefiting from the homely interiors and the hotel-like services that our residents enjoy. 

If you’re seeking independent living in Somerset, our Clevedon retirement village provides the perfect combination of luxury and functional support. Our one or two-bedroom apartments are each freshly decorated prior to residents moving in and include shower rooms, kitchenettes, carpets, curtains, TV, telephone and internet points, your own central heating controls, an integrated alarm system, and a 24-hour on-call manager. 

There is a huge variety of activities and amenities for residents to enjoy, from reading in the library to outings to the local area. Friends and family are always welcome, with the option of guest bedrooms should they require an overnight stay.

Clevedon independent living in Somerset provides a lively community with a flourishing, vibrant atmosphere. There’s no shortage of activities at our Somerset retirement village – whether it’s Tai Chi, art classes, bridge, line dancing, or snooker on our full-sized table in the games room. We also hold themed events and invite a range of entertainers to perform on a regular basis. 

With over 100 residents, meals are social events, and regular outings explore Somerset’s beauty. Clevedon’s famous pier, charming shops, and seaside promenade are right on your doorstep at the Hawthorns Clevedon.

Come Dine with Us

Savour delicious, cooked meals in the Hawthorns’ restaurant or enjoy a coffee on the seafront. Mealtimes are incredibly sociable at our Clevedon retirement village; just another example of the vibrant atmosphere you can expect.   

In addition to the main restaurant, there’s always fresh fruit, cakes, and biscuits available in the coffee if you’re feeling a little peckish between meals. All our food is beautifully presented, and our buffet lunches are a delight to behold. Our chefs deliver restaurant-quality meals for our candlelit dinners (which are held throughout the year), special occasions, and themed evenings such as our St Patrick’s Day supper. We source much of our food and ingredients from local Somerset producers.
