Clevedon Pier Named Pier of the Year 2021
As long-time supporters of the historic Clevedon Pier, we are delighted to share it has been awarded the title of Pier of the Year for the third time by the National Piers Society (NPS).
The Hawthorns Clevedon is a proud sponsor of the attraction, which sees thousands of visitors each year, including our very own residents who cite it as one of their most popular points of interest.
During the pandemic, staff and volunteers at the pier have worked hard to ensure that it was an enjoyable and safe experience for all when visitors could return safely.
Tim Wardley of the National Piers Society said, “Congratulations to Clevedon Pier. Always enterprising and finding ways of adapting to the economic challenges of the Covid pandemic.”
And to show support towards the attraction during a challenging year for the industry, staff and volunteers lined the decking of the pier with flowers. This also marked a clear one-way route around the pier, supporting social distancing guidelines.
