Macmillan Coffee Morning at the Hawthorns Northampton
Residents and staff members at the Hawthorns Northampton held a successful Macmillan Coffee Morning on Friday 30th September, helping to raise vital funds to support those living with cancer.
Guests tucked into a delicious spread of cakes, and the team at the Hawthorns Northampton took part in a range of fundraising activities. Receptionist Karen completed a sponsored silence from 8.00am until 6.00pm, and much to everyone’s surprise, she did it! Assistant Manager, Michael, braved the shave for the worthy cause. In addition, General Manager Sarah-Lou completed a 5-hour non-stop dance-a-thon, alongside Debbie and Larissa from the Well-being team.
A few days later, resident Cedric completed a 10.2 mile walk to support Macmillan. Fellow residents and staff members were at the Brampton Halt to applaud his success, and everyone enjoyed a spot of lunch to celebrate.
General Manager, Sarah-Lou stated: “We are delighted to share that the total raised during our fundraising efforts was a wonderful £1035.00. We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who supported us on the day.”
