Chinese New Year Celebrations at the Hawthorns Clevedon
Chinese New Year celebrations took place at the Hawthorns Clevedon on the 1st of February to celebrate the Year of the Tiger.
Residents had a fantastic evening with a tasty traditional Chinese meal prepared by their talented culinary team, whilst they enjoyed relaxing bamboo flute music to set the ambience. It was also a great opportunity for their residents to dress up in beautiful Chinese themed outfits.
Red decorations are a common sight during Chinese New Year. It is a lucky colour in China, and billions of “red envelopes” are sent to family and friends each year to mark the occasion. To honour this, the dining room was dressed in a sea of red from napkins to lanterns to bring luck to their community.
